In-House Soccer - Check back for Spring 2016 Schedule

EXCITING NEWS!

The Central Carroll Soccer program’s success is based on the coaches who participate and volunteer their time to the players we realize that without these volunteers we cannot provide a great experience for all the participants, players, coaches and parents alike. To encourage more volunteers to step up and coach, Central Carroll is continuing the partnership with Level 5 Soccer to increase the support to our coaches.

We are excited to be working with Level5 to increase the knowledge and resources for our experienced coaches to allow for new materials and a higher level of coaching for the players. We also know there are many parents who would like to be involved with their child sports but do not have the experience. With the new partnership we will be offering coaching clinics from the intro level along with videos and a format for coaching a full season of soccer. Our goal is to increase the number of volunteer coaching and the skill level which would allow for smaller teams along with a suggested format/curriculum . While increasing the number of parents involved with the soccer program.

We will be holding a spring soccer meeting Early February in which we would like to invite all those that are interested, have any questions or want to meet with Level5.  Along with this partnership Level5 soccer will also be offering their Mighty Kicks program which is younger players ages 2 thru 6 and coached using a paid staff. Later this year we will be adding soccer camps for all calibers of players.

This is a great opportunity to or program and community.

Quadraleague Soccer

Carroll County Youth Soccer League, in conjunction with Central Carroll Soccer, will be offering the Quadraleague this spring.

This small sided game is played without goal keepers and unlimited "on the fly" substitutions. The game will be fast paced and challenging, for players of all skill levels. A low-key 4 v 4 soccer league that focuses on the kids playing the game while the adults watch and enjoy it. Parents are encouraged to serve as facilitators leaving the players to be creative. This format is not conducive to coaching the players while the games are being played.

The program is based on allowing players to play soccer, try new moves, work with different players, while not being concerned with winning or keeping score. This is done by teams being picked by the players showing up at the designated time. Players will then play three 20 minute games. Players may by switched from team to team to help even the play of the game. The main purpose of the referee is to manage fouls and keep time.

The Quadraleague is open to all boys, girls, from U8 to U14. The games will be played on Sundays beginning on the first week of April and ending just before Memorial Day. Games will be played Sandymount Park.

Program will be accepting individual registrations the first week of February and ends around mid-March. Coaches may bring teams into the league to play, with the understanding that this program is based on players playing soccer and not as a team practice.
